DUST 1A

The DUST 1A is a tool developed to locate and remove foreign material under water. It is mounted on a handling pole during its operation.

Applications

• Used for cleaning of:
• Lower support plate in PWRs during visual inspections
• Pump deck in BWR (reach behind obstacles such as main circulation pumps, feedwater spargers and insert pipes)
• Small RPV nozzles and orifices with customized suction nozzles
• Any pool or cavity

Benefits

• Helps to protect the plant from costly fuel damages by capturing small bolts, washers, shavings, plastic tie wraps, pieces of cloth, and more
• A see-through debris trap securely captures the debris and allows the operator to visually verify the retention of the foreign material
• Used with a camera and camera cable from Ahlberg Cameras, no extra cable or power supply is required
